We celebrate the life and career of the great American violinist Isaac Stern (1920-2001). In addition to being close friends for over 40-years, Bernstein and Stern performed many times together. Most notably, Stern was soloist at the premiere of Bernstein’s Serenade at La Scala in 1954.
